The construction of the Emergency Department building encompassed construction, finishing, and installation works, as well as elimination of static weaknesses. Works were carried out in the basement premises for transfusion (elimination of static weaknesses), across the entire ground floor area where the works had to be done in two stages because of the need for constant operation of the emergency department throughout the duration of the works, and on the first floor (elimination of static weaknesses).
