The upgrade to the existing railway line between Divača and Koper, PHASE II, STAGE A involved upgrades at Hrpelje-Kozina Station of rail apparatus, upper and sub-structure, an underpass at the station and the reconstruction of the platform, catenary, exterior lighting, the power supply substation was reconstructed and necessary relocations of signalling, safety and telecommunications as well as the installation of the railway switch heating system were carried out.

At the Koper freight station, new rail apparatus was installed, the upper and sub-structure upgraded, as were access roads, car parks and loading ramp, fences at the freight station, water management measures, a new power supply substation at Dekani, the building to house the central workshop, the building to be used by the maintenance sector of the Building Works Service Postojna, catenary was installed as were signalling, security and telecommunication devices and exterior lighting, telephone and power supply networks were moved as was the radio-dispatch connection tower, a substation was built at Dekani, and electrical power installations were modified at the stations due to the changes affecting the return conductors of the traction.
